All over the country, school budgets are being squeezed so money is spent only on the absolute essentials. Anything above and beyond that – even if it enhances children’s learning – is beyond most school budgets. This is where PTFA fundraising comes in. Any profit we raise goes straight to the school to provide enhanced experiences for the children. We have provided laptops, playground equipment, popular books, Early Years Resources and have also subsidised school trips. Most recently, the money raised by families through PTFA activities has covered the whole cost of the Hanover Road library refurbishment. This is an incredible facility and such a great achievement. Work will be starting on the Haydon’s Road library imminently. Watch this space!
